For last week’s “Crosscutters Hip Hop/Pom Summer Dance Camp,” our group learned a routine in 5 days and performed it at the Sat. Aug 5th Williamsport Crosscutters Baseball Game. We had a absolute blast!
Dancers cheered on players as they entered the field. We got to meet Boomer, the Crosscutters Mascot, and little did we know, we were going to dance with the Phillies Phanatic…twice! Watch the video below to see the Phillies Phanatic make a surprise appearance in our pre-game routine. Later, we did a little dancing with him again during the 5th inning.
The Wed Ballet/Tap has filled & closed! Wait List Only. This is the 2nd class to close since registration opened on July 19.
There are other class day/time options for K-1st Graders.

What’s going to fill & close next? LIKELY-Wed Itty Bitty Ballet/Tap (ages 4-5) & Thurs. Ballet/Tap (ages 5-7). Expect them to fill & close by the end of today or the weekend. Tues Tap/Jazz/Lyrical (ages 7-10), there’s a lot of buzz so make sure you select it soon or keep a watch on it.
The After 5pm Baby Ballet class has filled & is closed!
It is Wait List Only. The After 5pm Ballet/Taps will be next to go! There are 5 spots left in Wed Itty Bitty Ballet/Tap, 5:30-6:15pm (ages 4-5). Don’t wait.

If you’re doing ballet or tap & would like to borrow shoes, please email downtowndancepa@gmail.com & let us know what size you think you’d need. If you are buying ballet shoes, please purchase tie-less shoes such as Capezio Love or Bloch Belle. You can find dancewear & dance shoes at online dance retailers such as Discountdance.com (TP43827 for 8% off) and Allaboutdance.com (free returns). The Street of Shops in Lewisburg carries a limited supply of Capezio Love ballet shoes & dancewear.

Princess Ballet- Wear your favorite princess costume over your dancewear/activewear on Friday; we’ll show parents what we’ve learned.

We are so proud of all of our dancers. Thank you for a wonderful school year of dance! We had 30 numbers this year in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, & Musical Theater dance for ages 3-teen. We finished up the show with all dancers on stage for a finale dance to “Can’t Stop the Feelin.”

Our other dance memories from the school year include-
-The tap trio performing”Sing Sing Sing” at the Campus Theatre in the Lewisburg Ice Festival.
-Dancing with the nationally ranked Penn State Lionettes Dance Team & performing in the PSU basketball pre-show.
-Performing half-time at a Bucknell basketball game (and surprising them with some tap).
-Taking our 16 team members to two regional dance competitions: Ticket to Broadway & Groove, earning golds, high golds, and one platinum!
-Performing in the afternoon at the Lewisburg Arts Festival in April
-Leading the Danville Area Community Center Dance Program in the Fall & Winter/Spring sessions ( 2 performances).
