The Penn State Lionettes Dance Team hosted us for a pre-game, dance clinic.  Our students had 1 hour to learn the routine they later performed (with the Lionettes) before the basketball game.  We loved the whole experience! Dancers got to learn how to do a kickline like the pros, went backstage, danced for a crowd, got to watch the game, saw the Lionettes perform, & got to see a 30 person, baton routine at halftime! Thanks Penn State!

Winter Dance Session with Miss Christine

Thursdays, Jan 19 through April 20, 2017

January 19 and 26
February 2, 9, 16, and 23
March 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30
April 6 and 13
RECITAL: April 20

4:15 – 5:00 pm: Baby Ballet, ages 3 – 4
5:15 – 6:00 pm: Itty Bitty Ballet/Tap, ages 4 – 5
6:15 – 7:05 pm: Tap/Jazz, ages 6 – 8

Snow Plan: If there is a need to cancel a class because of the weather, all scheduled classes will move forward one week. The recital would then be held April 27th.

Class Fees: $120 – DACC Members $150 – All Others
Recital Costume Fee: $56 – Payment for the recital costume is due on the first day of class, Jan 19. Cash/check payable to Downtown Dance with dancer’s name on it.

Happy Feet Tappers at the Ice Festival

Saturday, February 4 at 2:00pm – HAPPY FEET Movie – sponsored by Stacy Butler of State Farm.  In celebration of Lewisburg’s Ice Festival, this screening of HAPPY FEET is made possible by Stacy Butler of State Farm.  Gather under the marquee for complimentary hot chocolate and have your picture taken with their bear mascot, and tap dancers from Downtown Dance will be on stage to get you in the mood with a tap routine!  Refer a client and use #runningwildwithstacybutler, and Stacy Butler of State Farm will make a donation to T&D Cats, where they are sponsoring Bud, a 27-year old bear. Admission is FREE in exchange for canned food donation for ‘By Grace Women’s Transitional Home.’

Arrive by 1:30pm to catch our tappers on stage!

Half-Time Dance

Mon. Jan 2- We had a blast performing at half-time during Bucknell Men’s Basketball. So how did we end up surprising the crowd with tap dancing? Tappers wore black slipper socks over their tap shoes.  When it came time to tap, they slipped them off and tapped on a gray square!

Winter Break

The studio will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 20.  All classes resume on Tuesday, Jan 3.

Tuesday Baby Bop 3:00-3:35pm, ages 3-5 *creative/hip hop
These classes run through May 18. Our Recital is May 20 and the dress rehearsal is the night prior. Dancers must be at least 3 years old.
