Miss Christine is working on the new schedule for 2016-2017! If you were a 2015-2016 student, we will email you the info. If you are a prospective student, you can get the notification by subscribing to this site or by liking us on Facebook or Instagram.

We should have our schedule ready for you by the end of July!

Summer Dance Programs Start June 6

There’s still some time to sign up before our summer programs begin!

1. Princess Ballet, Ballet/Tap- age groups 3-4, 4-5, 5-7
*5-classes, T-Shirt, Princess cd, $75
Dancers love this themed class, with princess music and imagination. Bring your princess costume to the last class and perform for parents.
We highly recommend that preschoolers try dance by taking this camp before signing up for the school year class.

2. Wizard of Oz Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet/Lyrical – age groups 4-5, 5-8, 9-13
Dates vary. *T-Shirt, Popcorn & a Movie, Performance at Riverwoods on July 28.
Play a part in the Wizard of Oz. Get more individualized attention in these smaller classes and gain confidence with this performance opportunity. Older students may participate in a style they know or they may try a new one.

3. One-Day Camps- Beginner Hip Hop, Exp. Jazz, Lyrical-ages 8-13
This is the week of June 6th.
*T-shirt, headband, snack, $75

4. If you live closer to Danville, check out our Mermaid/Pirate ballet, tap camps and TSwift hip hop camps on http://www.thedacc.com.

Bring a Friend Days

Bring a friend to dance class!
Thursday, May 5 – Wednesday, May 11
Friends will take part in the warm up, stretch, learn part of the recital dance. No dance experience necessary, but should be similar in age to the dancer. Bring socks and sneakers. Shoes may be available to borrow. Bring water & have fun!

April 23: Downtown Dance Performs in 2 States, 1 Day!

On Saturday, April 23, our Performance Team traveled to Chester, NJ to compete at Groove Dance Competition. We brought soloists in ballet, jazz, lyrical, trios in tap and hip hop, and two small groups, jazz and tap. Our routines earned High Gold and Gold placements. Notably, Miss Olivia’s tap trio earned an 8th overall award for their category. Miss Megan, Miss Stacey, and Miss Christine were proud of the team’s performances.

Meanwhile, Miss Molly was running the show back in Lewisburg at the Arts Festival. We showcased 3 hip hop classes, 2 jazz classes, a jazz/open soloist, and a lyrical routine.

April 1-2, Power of Dance Competition

April 1-2, Weekend

April 1- Miss Christine presented at Middleburg Elementary’s 4th & 5th Grader Career Fair. She talked about being a dance teacher & business owner.

April 2- The Performance Team competed at The Power of Dance Competition in Lancaster, PA. We represented the Kelsey’s Dream organization (Mifflinburg, PA), earning awards & a donation to this charity, fighting childhood cancer.

Our petite tap group, PARTY (birthday party theme), earned a special judge’s award for being “the perfect little package.” We had a birthday girl in the group that day who got to accept the award.

Our junior jazz soloist & ballet soloist won 1st & 2nd overall in junior age solos for their division. All six of our routines did a beautiful job on stage, earning Diamond & Ruby awards. Their teachers Miss Christine, Miss Olivia, Miss Stacey, & Miss Megan are so proud of them.

Onto the Groove Dance Competition in Chester, NJ the weekend of April 22nd.

Spring Session
March 31-May 5, 6-Classes
Members $50, Non-Members $65

  1. Baby Ballet (ages 3-5)
    Thursdays 4:30-5:15pm
    Dancers must be at least 3 years old during the session.
    Shoes are available to be borrowed. Please bring socks. Dancewear preferred, but leggings & top are fine. Space is limited.

  2. Ballet/Tap (ages 5-8)
    Thursdays 5:30-6:15pm
    Shoes are available to be borrowed. Please bring socks. Dancewear preferred, but leggings & top are fine. Space is limited.
  1. Hip Hop I (ages 8-12)
    Thursdays 6:30-7:15pm
    Bring sneakers & wear active wear.

Summer Dance Programs, 2016

Wizard of Oz v3

*NEW* This Year
The Wizard of Oz Dance Camp & Show
Dancers who sign up for this 2-3 wk camp, will get a yellow brick road yellow, wizard of oz camp t-shirt with hair piece & dance a part in the story: the Rainbow, Munchkins, Yellow Brick Road, or the Emerald City. Attend our “Popcorn, Pillow & a Movie” event. Dancers ages 8+ are welcome to audition for a main character part: Dorothy, Tin Man, Lion, Scarecrow, Glinda, Wicked Witch. They’ll wear the camp t-shirt in their iconic color with accessories.

The show will be at Riverwoods on Thursday, July 28th at 6:30pm.
