January means Recital costume ordering time

We are now placing orders for student recital costumes.  These take months to be produced. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot add new students to classes at this time.  This includes the previously posted Baby Ballet class.  These spots have been filled.  Please check back in the spring for our summer dance camp listings.  Regular class registration will also open at that time for September 2014. Toy Soldiers Tap at The Campus Theatre

Our Monday tap class, ages 7-10, performed at the Campus Theatre on Saturday, December 7, 2013.  They were the opening number before the showing of the holiday movie, “Elf.”  This was our 3rd annual holiday performance at the wonderful Campus Theatre.  View more photos here.

If your child finds tights to be uncomfortable, try Miss Christine’s favorite tights, Capezio’s Ultra-Soft. You can get them footless (shown here) or footed.  They sure are soft and comfortable.

Classes Have Begun!

We are still looking to add more students to our Wednesday Tap class for 6 & 7 year olds. The time is 5:30-6:15pm weekly from now through May, with a June Recital performance.  Select other classes have spots open.  Contact Miss Christine at downtowndancepa@gmail.com

If you are still looking to buy shoes, we have size samples at the studio for children’s ballet, tap, and jazz shoes.  We have child and adult sized samples for the hip hop dansneaker. It is highly advised that you try them on before ordering online. Every brand runs differently in sizing.  *We are hearing that this sneaker in particular needs to be ordered 2 sizes up from one’s regular street shoe size*
