Angelina Ballerina Story Time & Dance
Saturday, April 16 at 2pm
at Barnes & Noble (Bucknell bookstore)
Children ages 5-7 are invited to a storybook reading from the popular book series, Angelina Ballerina, on the 3rd floor of B&N. The group will do some ballet and creative dance.
Parents may sit and watch. Children should wear comfortable clothes to dance in. Tutus welcome! Contact us (570-768-9379) or Barnes & Noble if you have more questions about this event.

Come to the Party Hearty Zumbathon at the Mifflinburg United Methodist Church in Mifflinburg. The event is Sunday, March 27 from 1-3pm. The purpose of this Zumbathon is to raise money towards Heart Disease. It is $10 per person at the door.
This is a great opportunity for those who are curious about Zumba and have never tried it. It will be a large space with possibly one-hundred people participating, so you can blend into the crowd if you want to. Ten of the area’s Zumba Instructors will each lead a few of their own routines (including Downtown Dance’s Instructor Christine). If you are not new to Zumba this is still an great opportunity! Learn some new steps/moves and gain some variety in your workout.

It’s Parents Visit Week for our Tues/Wed/Thurs. youth ballet, tap, and jazz classes. Relatives get to sit in the class and see what their child has learned since January. Pictured here is our Tuesday Baby Ballet class (ages 3-4). It was great practice dancing in front of a small audience since the end of the year recital is coming up! It is June 11th at 7pm at Eichhorn Middle School in Lewisburg, PA.

We are excited to share that our recital location and date has been finalized. The recital will be on stage at Donald H. Eichhorn Middle School in Lewisburg. The school is close by to the studio, located just a mile down the road. The show will commence at 7pm on Saturday, June 11. Tickets will be available closer to the date.
So-why have people around the world fallen in love with Zumba? Because it is FUN! You are dancing to international music that you don’t hear every day. Every song is a different dance/music style, so it’s never boring. You are learning latin rhythms and grooving to the music with friends. Before you know it, class is over and you just got an hour of cardio.
Zumba is Tuesdays 7-8pm and Saturdays 10:30am. Drop-in and try your first class FREE. If you’d like to come back, you buy a pass for 6 stamps/classes or for 10 (email us for rates). Come to class and use your stamps with what works in your schedule. Be sure to bring water and a towel to class.
Are you competing in Lewisburg’s version of “Biggest Loser”? Come any Tuesday at 7pm or Saturday at 10:30am for an hour of Zumba and try your first class free! Even if you are not competing, your first class is free to try. If you like it and would like to come back for more, just get a stamped 6-class pass or a 10-class pass. You can use these stamps towards any class time because Zumba is ongoing.
