We are opening up a new class of “Ballet Tap Combo” in January 2011! The first 30 minutes of each class is beginner tap and the second half of class is beginner ballet. By learning 2 forms of dance in one class time, students get a strong foundation for dance. Plus, they love the variety!
Ballet Tap Combo (Age: 5-7 yrs) will be Wednesdays 6-7pm. The class will run from January through May 2011 and there will be an end of the year performance.

Preschoolers are invited to the storybook reading of “The Nutcracker.” It is the story of a girl who dreams of a Nutcracker Prince, a battle against a Mouse King, and a journey to the Land of Sweets. After the reading, the children will get familiar with the music from the ballet by watching clips of George Balanchine’s “The Nutcracker” and by participating in creative dances (led by us) to the music.

The holiday season is here! The Market Street streetlamps and trees are decorated, the tree in Hufnagle Park has been lit (we can see it from our studio) & the 30th Annual Victorian Christmas Parade has strolled through.
Pictured here are our beautiful windows (on the 2nd floor of the Chamberlin Building) done up with a Nutcracker theme for the holiday season, courtesy of local high school students: David Capatch, Polli Soloman, & Noah Berhanu. Nice work!
Happy Holidays!
